(Note: This month's ShoutTip uses the latest release from Defy Creative, a collection of MediaShout BookBacks entitled Luminous.)

One of the updates we've included in the latest versions of MediaShout, including our latest release, Version 3.5, is an easier way of handling backgrounds for Bible cues.

BookBacks are a feature of MediaShout providing a Book-specific background to Bible cues. This is very helpful for providing a consistent look to a series of Bible cues, while keeping a creative element that gives the appearance of hours of hard work on your part. For example, a passage from Romans would have a Romans-themed background, a passage from John would have a John-themed background, etc. This is achieved by utilizing a series of images or videos created for each book of the Bible.

In addition to the new BookBack products created by our friends at Defy Creative, Big Puddle Films and WorshipFilms, you’ll also notice a BookBack library included with MediaShout called 'PageShots'. You can use this series to follow along.

To utilize BookBacks libraries with Bible cues:
1. Insert a Bible cue into your Script and open to the Background tab of the Cue Properties Box.
2. Click the ‘Most Recently Used’ drop-down list in the Picture section. BookBack libraries are denoted with a ‘(BB)’ to the right of their name.
3. Choosing the ‘Luminous WMV (BB)’ library will change the background to a Book-specific image or video.
(NOTE: Some BookBack libraries include both still and video versions.)
4. Edit the Foreground to your specifications.
