Official Contest Rules
- The “MediaShout Church Technology Solutions BBQ Grill Giveaway” Contest (“Contest”) is open to any U.S. legal resident eighteen (18) years of age or older who has not won a MediaShout contest in the last six (6) months and whose employer or whose organization for which he or she volunteers does not already own MediaShout 7 presentation software. Only one (1) winner will be allowed per organization and/or per immediate family or household. Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and immediate family and household members of Wordsmith LLC, its affiliated companies, and its advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
- The Contest will begin at 12:01am eastern time on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. It will close after 100 qualifying entrants have been made. The prize will be a new Pellet Smoker BBQ Grill with Cart (“Prize”). The Prize will only be shipped to a United States address. Enter by Scheduling a video call with a MediaShout representative to see a demo of MediaShout presentation software. Schedule by fully completing the Schedule a Demo Form online at https://mediashout.com/summer-2024-bbq-giveaway and then completing the demo video call. The first 100 people to do so once the contest opens will be entered into a drawing for the Prize. No purchase is necessary to be entered into the Prize drawing.
One entry per person is allowed. The winner must complete a prize receipt and release affidavit and an IRS W9 form. If MediaShout does not receive these within two (2) weeks of notification, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. Except where prohibited by law, by signing the affidavit and release, the winner grants permission to the use of his/her/its name, likeness, picture, portrait, hometown, service mark, voice, biographical/other information, and statements for advertising and promotional purposes for this and other promotions by MediaShout without additional compensation. The prize will be awarded within approximately two (2) weeks after all required proof and documentation is received. Odds of winning depend on the total number of contest entrants.
- There will be one (1) prize winner drawn. The winner will be selected within two weeks of there being 100 individuals having scheduled and completed a demo call. The winner will be selected via random drawing from all eligible entries and winner will be notified by phone and/or email. At its discretion MediaShout may record the phone call notifying the winner. No transfer or substitution will be given for the Prize, provided however, MediaShout may, at its sole discretion, substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
- By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by all of these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of MediaShout senior management (“Contest Judge”). All decisions regarding the Contest including, but not limited to, announcing the winner, will be made by the Contest Judge, whose decisions shall be final. The Contest Judge may prohibit an entrant from participating in this Contest, in his/her sole discretion, if, in the opinion of the Contest Judge, the entrant fails to abide by these rules, or otherwise acts (i) in a non-professional or inappropriate manner, (ii) with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant or MediaShout, its affiliated companies or its advertising and promotion agencies, or (iii) in any other disruptive manner.
- The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, and will be required to complete and return to MediaShout a W-9 taxpayer identification form. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
- By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to release and hold MediaShout and its affiliated companies harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on any libel, slander, illegal competition or trade practice, violation of rights of privacy, infringement of copyrights or other rights of third parties.
7. To find out the winner of the Contest, look for the winner’s name posted on the MediaShout website at https://mediashout.com/summer-2024-bbq-giveaway once the name has become available upon the conclusion of the Contest.
