Due to enhanced security on newer Mac operating systems and MediaShout being from a small ministry-specific software company, you will need to tell your Mac that MediaShout is not malware to proceed with initial installation. Please note the following steps before you proceed with your download:

1. If a prompt appears that says “MediaShout6.pkg” Not Opened, you can click OK or Done. (Do not click Move to Trash).

2. After exiting this prompt, go to your System Settings/Preferences by clicking the gear icon on your dock, or from the Apple logo menu at the top left on the taskbar. On System Settings, go to the Privacy and Security section from the menu of settings on the left.

3. You should see a notification on that screen that says something like “MediaShout6.pkg” was blocked to protect your Mac (or that MediaShout couldn’t be opened because it was not from an identified developer). It will provide an option which you should click to “Open Anyway.” You may then be prompted again advising that Apple could not verify the package, and you’ll need to click Open Anyway one more time. You may be required to enter your system password to allow this (on older versions of OS, you’d click the lock to enter your password to allow this).

Once you have done these steps, you will be able to proceed with the installation and run MediaShout like normal!
