1. Fresh Wind – Hillsong Worship

Written by Matt Crocker, Brooke Ligertwood, Ben Fielding, and David Ware

This new song from Hillsong Worship will be a great addition to your worship presentation software. With a melody that draws you in and lyrics that guide your heart to worship this song is a powerful new worship song for the Church to sing. The songwriting was inspired by Acts 2:2 “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting,” and Psalm 51:12-19.

Spirit sound, rushing wind, Fire of God fall within
Holy Ghost, Breathe on us, we pray

As we repent, turn from sin, Revival embers smoldering
Breath of God, Fan us into flame

We need a fresh wind, The fragrance of Heaven
Pour Your Spirit out, Pour Your Spirit out

A holy anointing, The power of Your presence
Pour Your Spirit out, Pour Your Spirit out

For hearts that burn with holy fear, Purified in faith and deed
Refiner’s fire, Strengthen what remains

So we the church who bear Your light, Lamp aflame, city bright
King and kingdom come is what we pray

Let all the redeemed, Prophesy and sing
We can hear the wind, Blowing, blowing, blowing

Move upon our praise, Sons and daughters sing
We can hear the wind, Blowing, blowing, blowing

2. Rest On Us –Upperroom, Maverick City

Written by Elyssa Smith, Brandon Lake, Harvest Bashta, Jonathan Jay, Rebekah White, Tony Brown

If you haven’t heard “Rest On Us” yet, you need to give it a listen. This is a great mid-tempo song with an upbeat feel that is full of joy. Similar in theme to the previous song, this is an uplifting worship song to open with and prepare the hearts and minds of your congregation for worship. This worship song draws hearts into a place of surrender to the Holy Spirit and the melody will inspire joy in the Lord.

As the Spirit was moving, Over the waters
Spirit come move over us, Come rest on us, Come rest on us

Come down, Spirit when You move
You make my heart pound, When You fill the room
You’re here, And I know You are moving
I’m here, And I know You will fill me

And fire and wind, Come and do it again
Open up the gates, Let heaven on in
Come rest on us, Come rest on us

Holy Spirit come rest on us, You’re all we want, You’re all we want

3. Christ Be Magnified – Cody Carnes, Cory Asbury, Travis Cottrell

Written by Cody Carnes, Cory Asbury, Ethan Hulse

This is a powerful new worship song that you may already have in your worship software as it is being sung in churches all across the world. Adoration and praise are the central themes of this worship song. It can be used as a call to worship, commitment, and dedication song, and also would be a powerful Easter song. One of the scriptures that inspired the songwriters was Philippians 2:9-11, “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God.”

Were creation suddenly articulate, With a thousand tongues
To lift one cry, Then from north to south
And east to west, We’d hear Christ be magnified

Were the whole earth, Echoing His eminence
His name would burst, From sea and sky
From rivers to the mountain tops, We’d hear Christ be magnified

O Christ be magnified, Let His praise arise, Christ be magnified in me
O Christ be magnified, From the altar of my life, Christ be magnified in me

When every creature, Finds its inmost melody
And every human heart, Its native cry
Then in one enraptured, Hymn of praise, We’ll sing Christ be magnified

I won’t bow to idols, I’ll stand strong and worship You
And if it puts me in the fire, I’ll rejoice ’cause You’re there too

I won’t be formed by feelings, I hold fast to what is true
If the cross brings transformation, You can hang me there with You

‘Cause death is just the doorway, Into resurrection life
And if I join You in Your suffering, Then I’ll join You when You rise

And when You return in glory, With all the angels and the saints
My heart will still be singing, My song will be the same

“Make Room” may be a worship song you’ve never heard before. It is a compelling worship song that can be used as a response song after the message. It has a memorable melody that is easy for your congregation to learn, and lyrically it will draw your church into a posture of surrender in worship.

Here is where I lay it down, Every burden every crown
This is my surrender, This is my surrender

Here is where I lay it down, Every lie and every doubt
This is my surrender

And I will make room for You
To do whatever You want, To do whatever You want to

Shake up the ground of all my tradition
Break down the walls of all my religion
Your way is better, Your way is better

Here is where I lay it down, You are all I’m chasing now
This is my surrender, This is my surrender

5. Let There Be Wonder – Matt Redman

Written by Matt Redman, Corey Voss, Jacob Sooter, Joshua Silverberg

Matt Redman says, “You can’t have worship without wonder, otherwise, it’s something lesser, like appreciation or adoration. When it comes to true worship, there has to be that element of wonder.” This could be an opener worship song, but it would also fit anywhere in your worship setlist. As you can see in the lyrics, this song will help your congregation focus their hearts in adoration and worship of the greatness of God.

Let this place be an upper room, Where Your people learn to wait
Let this house become holy ground, Where Your children watch and pray

Oh remind us today, We are people of Your presence

Let there be wonder, Let there be wonder in this place
Let there be worship, Let there be worship for Your name

Come Holy Spirit, How we need Your fire again
Let there be wonder, Let there be wonder

We’re in awe, And we fear Your name
But we will not be afraid, For the King in His holiness
Is our Father and our friend

Is He not the God, Who parted the sea
Is He not the One, Who heals our disease
Is He not the source, Of all that we need, You’re all that we need

Is He not the God, Who emptied the grave
Is He not the One, Who breaks every chain
Is He not the hope still with us today, You’re with us today

6. I Thank God – Maverick City, Upperroom

Written by Aaron Moses, Chuck Butler, Dante Bowe, Jesse Cline, Maryanne George

Looking for an upbeat worship song that your church will love? Look no further than Maverick City’s, “I Thank God.” This song is about the salvation that comes through Jesus and the gratitude that we as believers have for the redemption of our souls. It is sure to ignite joy throughout your congregation as you sing of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Wandering into the night, Wanting a place to hide
This weary soul, This bag of bones

I tried with all my might, But I just can’t win the fight
I’m slowly drifting a vagabond

And just when I ran out of road, I met a man I didn’t know
And he told me, That I was not alone

You picked me up turned me around, Placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master, I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart, He changed my name
Forever free I’m not the same, I thank the Master
I thank the Savior, I thank God

I cannot deny what I’ve seen, Got no choice but to believe
My doubts are burning, Like ashes in the wind

So so long to my old friends, Burden and bitterness
You can just keep it moving, Nah you ain’t welcome here

From now till I walk the streets of gold, I’ll sing how of You saved my soul
This wayward son, Has found his way back home

Hell lost another one, I am free, I am free, I am free
Hell lost another one, I am free, I am free, I am free

Get up get up get up, Get up out of that grave
Get up get up get up, Get up out of that grave

7. Father’s House – Cory Asbury

Written by Cory Asbury, Benjamin Hastings, Ethan Hulse

If you are a worship pastor looking for an upbeat worship song with themes of redemption, surrender, and salvation then “Father’s House” is it. The lyrics tell of the journey of finding your identity in Christ as a son or daughter of God. It is an encouraging and uplifting worship song that your church will love.

Sometimes on this journey, I get lost in my mistakes
What looks to me like weakness, Is a canvas for Your strength
And my story isn’t over, My story’s just begun
And failure won’t define me, ‘Cause that’s what my Father does

Yeah failure won’t define me, ‘Cause that’s what my Father does

Ooh lay your burdens down, Ooh here in the Father’s house
Check your shame at the door, ‘Cause it ain’t welcome anymore

Ooh you’re in the Father’s house

Arrival’s not the end game, The journey’s where You are
You never wanted perfect, You just wanted my heart
And the story isn’t over, If the story isn’t good
And failure’s never final, When the Father’s in the room

And failure’s never final, When the Father’s in the room

Prodigals come home, The helpless find hope
Love is on the move, When the Father’s in the room

Prison doors fling wide, The dead come to life
Love is on the move, When the Father’s in the room

Miracles take place, The cynical find faith
Love is breaking through, When the Father’s in the room

The Jericho walls are quaking, Strongholds now are shaking
Love is breaking through, When the Father’s in the room

8. God of Revival – Phil Wickham

Written by Phil Wickham, Brian Johnson

“God of Revival” is a powerful worship anthem that will ignite your congregation into praise and worship. This song has themes of victory, revival, and faith. It is a worship song to unite your church around the greatness of God. When adding this song to your worship presentation software try using these new church motion backgrounds.

We’ve seen what You can do, Oh God of wonders
Your power has no end, The things You’ve done before
In greater measure, You will do again

There’s no prison wall, You can’t break through
No mountain You can’t move, All things are possible
There’s no broken body, You can’t raise
No soul that You can’t save, All things are possible

The darkest night, You can light it up, You can light it up, Oh God of revival
Let hope arise, Death is overcome, You’ve already won, Oh God of revival

You rose in victory, And now You’re seated
Forever on the throne, So why should my heart fear
What You defeated, I will trust in You alone

Come awaken Your people, Come awaken this city
Oh God of revival, Pour it out pour it out
Every stronghold will crumble, I hear the chains hit the ground
Oh God of revival, Pour it out pour it out

9. Let the Light In – Kari Jobe

Written by Brett Younker, Cody Carnes, Kristian Stanfill

“Let the Light In” is another joyful upbeat worship song to add to your worship setlist. It is found on the same album as other well-known worship songs like “The Blessing.” The songwriters based the lyrics off of Psalm 24:7-9, “Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.” And also Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” This inspiring worship song calls the church to turn their eyes and set their hearts on Jesus the King of glory.

It’s time for the sleeper to wake, It’s time for the old winds
To change, I hear the Spirit say it’s time

It’s time for the dead man to rise, It’s time for the Great Light
To shine, I hear the Spirit say it’s time

Fling wide you, Heavenly gates, Let the King of glory in, Let the King of glory in
Come ride in, On Your people’s praise, Let the King of glory in, Let the King of glory in

Open up the windows, Let the light in
Open up the windows, Let the light in
Open up the windows, Let the light in, Let the light in, Let the light in
